Currently the child is studying at Mathangwane Primary School doing standard 2 and waiting for the response from S&CD.She was also assessed by Mrs Molefe who assesses students living with disabilities in schools and was recommended to study in Aerodrome.The problem that i have is that, i am unable to provide transport for my daughter because my salary is not enough and i am a single parent supporting other four children which is the reason why i went to ask for assistance with transport from S&CD and was not accepted.Kindly help my child.

From 2019 to 2023 we have been employed by Lira Security Services working as security officers and the contract ended on the 31st May 2023. Since the end of contract, we haven't received our payments and when making an enquiry on the same issue we were told that the payments will be done on the 20/06/2023 but nothing have been done. Dear Honorable Saleshando Good afternoon to you. I'm appealing to you to help me with my medical dilemma. I’m writing this email with a heavy heart, due to the fact that I've been sick for the past 6 years due to kidney failure and all efforts to get a donor are failing. In 2019 of my brothers opted to donate for me; he was a match and everything was going well until about 2 weeks before we could travel to India for operation(transplant), then they discovered that he has chronic high blood pressure, as such, he was declined. Therefore, I was asked by the Medical Practitioners at Princess Marina to find another family or relative to donate for me. This is due to the fact that the agreement between the Botswana Government and Indian Government is that; ONLY family/relatives can donate because they do it out of love; this is to alleviate issues of black market. To my dismay all the other family members including my own daughter abandoned me the moment I became sick; all efforts by other relatives to find out why they can't help me, proved futile. These is my family that I loved so much and would do anything for (I have been there for them all the time), all I knew was they are people who seemed to be on the receiving end they don’t give, despite that I always provided whenever the need arises thinking that they are lacking so since it’s my family I have to keep on doing it; I didn’t mind. Little did I know that they are opportunists, who will abandon me at my lowest, and even turn my only child against me. Initially, when I was first diagnosed she(my daughter) was willing to donate for me, and soon after she went to Maun everything changed and the abuse started. Later on I discovered that instead of helping by donating for me they resorted to discussing what they are going to inherit in case I die, they even resorted to patronizing witch doctors seeking my demise (doing all this with my daughter). When all these started I was living with my daughter in Jwaneng in 2018 after I lost my job due to the illness. She was working for one company called Cowburn(sp) which was out-sourced by Debswana, she was later on employed by Debswana in Jwaneng. She started abusing me while I was in terrible state due to the illness (I could hardly walk or stand for long, including becoming unconscious at times). She wasn't even feeling any kind of remorse or compassion, and due to the abuse that I sustained from her, I decided to escape while she was at work and went to seek accommodation from a relative in Gaborone in order to be able to go for my medical checkup which were every 2 weeks at the time, because Maun was too far and I wasn’t in a position to travel that distance. I’m on dialysis 4 times a day to date. Therefore my other option for a donor was a friend who was looking after me at the time. But when I told Dr Moloi (Nephrologist) about my option, and that she was a friend; Dr Moloi rejected my option and emphasized that I find a family/relative. As such, I went to another (Nephrologist) Dr Sheikh and told him about my ordeal regarding a Donor friend; Dr Sheikh actually told me that as far as he knows it's possible; he mentioned that there is an affidavit/power of attorney (something of the sort) that can be done through Attorneys. I was running out of time due to the fact that the other patients and their donors were about to leave for India. Therefore, my brother and I went back to the Transplant Administrators namely; Mrs Bantsi and Dr Taolo (Nephrologist); who suggested that I give them my daughter's contact details so that they call her themselves (since they were aware of our social problem). They tried to call her several times, she never answered her cell phone, as such, Dr Taolo said, "she must be ignoring our calls purposely because, our landline shows that it's from Transplant, therefore, she is aware". As such, they suggested that, they'll use their personal cellphones instead, these went on for a period of 2 weeks, to no avail. Then we discovered that she (my daughter) is ignoring calls purposely because she doesn’t want to donate anymore. As such, we told the Administrator/Doctor, as such, we gave up and travelled back to Maun, while other patients travelled to India; that was heartbreaking. And I realized that there must be something wrong with her because it seems like the moment I escaped the abuse; that on its own riled her so much, in other words; I was supposed to stay and endure the abuse, in my condition?? Ke gone ke be ke simolola go lemoga gore mentally she’s not okay, and a pathological liar too. She would do all those terrible things and turn around and play victim and even turn everything on me, and she’s very good at manipulating people. I realized that; I thought I knew my daughter whereas I didn’t know her at all. In 2019 when my checkups were scheduled for every month; I decided to move to Maun because, my accommodation in Gaborone was just temporary (ke tshaba go pitaganya batho ko ne ke kopileng boroko teng). Even after moving to Maun where I was close to family none of them came to see me except the one brother (the one who opted to donate for me), not even my own mother; she only remembered me in June this year (after 6years ke ntse ke lwala) and started contacting me, and our elder brother was the only one who would call once in 6 months, but when it came to the issue of donating he declined and stopped communicating. Two other siblings were never bothered either. I never thought in my wildest dreams that my own family would turn on me like an animal, even some of our relatives were perplexed by their behavior. As for my daughter; there is some suspicion that she’s probably on drugs, as someone alleges that Debswana is the hub for such, because that’s where the money is. Another rumor that I came across is the fact that she(my daughter) has even taken Life Insurance policy for me; that’s why she refused to donate for me, I really don’t know what think anymore. I have 3 other cousins who mentioned that they have various illnesses otherwise they would have tried to donate (one of them openly disclosed that she lives with HIV, the other high blood pressure, the third one undisclosed illness; obviously I can’t enquire further) This transplant work up is done annually (at the beginning of each year, and travelling to India is normally around May/June/July/August), as such, from 2020 to 2021 it was suspended due to covid outbreak, and more so that India was one of the countries that was hard-hit by covid. In October 2021 I told a friend of mine about my ordeal regarding a donor, and she suggested that we try and pretend to be relatives, and in my desperation to save my own life, I agreed. As such, mid-March 2022 I called the Transplant Office and spoke to Mrs Bantsi to enquire if the process has resumed, and she affirmed that it has, and that travelling to India will be around April/May. Therefore, End of March 2022 I travelled from Maun to Gaborone to start the transplant work-up. We started with the blood group; which was a match. Then came counselling of which Mrs Bantsi mentioned that both of us (Donor and Recipient) were to stay in India for 3months, whereas in 2019 while doing this with my brother, I remember quiet well that Dr Taolo mentioned that the donor doesn't have to stay in India for 3 months; they can come back after 2 weeks more so that some of them have to go back to work. When my friend heard about the 3 months, she couldn't go along with it because she was going to lose her job, and she has 2 small children (her 10-year-old son, and 10-year-old grandchild) to look after. Initially, when we were discussing about donating for me, her 26-year-old son also opted that he too is willing to donate for me; due to the fact that when I met both his parents in Kasane in 2005 he was still very young at the time and all along he thought I'm his aunt all these years, even in 2009 when they moved to Maun I accommodated the whole family for a couple of months until they found a house to rent. Therefore, when my friend failed to donate due to the constraints of her job, the son and I started the transplant work up. We matched in everything including the cross-match, and he didn't even have any chronic illness. Then on Monday 27 June 2022: came the issue of documentation that links/proves me and his mother are in fact relatives. I don't know if Mrs Bantsi has been suspicious about our relationship all along or what? because, suddenly, she told us, "we better tell the truth because we can go to India and if the Indian Board of Directors discover that we are not related they will definitely send us back to Botswana, but, if you tell the truth we can maybe do an Affidavit, more so that wena Nnaniki we are aware of your social problem” (referring to the fact that I was abandoned by the family, because I had already disclosed my family situation to her. When I heard her say that, I thought coming out clean would be my best option since we really don't have any documents (birth certificates) that prove the relationship; therefore, I opted for the latter. Mrs Bantsi then said she will consult her superiors since she cannot make the decision on her own. Therefore, I reflected back to 2019 when Dr Sheikh told me, that, "it is possible to use a friend as a donor but it's something that can be done through attorneys". Therefore, I was very optimistic about the issue (I never anticipated any problems). Little did I know that Mrs Bantsi’s intentions were not good, she just wanted to “throw me under the bus”, despite my situation. Therefore, Mrs Bantsi told us to go home she will call us back with feedback. From her office I went to Private ward to do my dialysis. While there, Dr Sheikh came in and I told him about the issue, and to my surprise he wasn't really perturbed that this is not going to go my way, all he said was, "I'm sure Mrs Bantsi will find a way around this". So I waited for Mrs Bantsi to call me back until Thursday 30 June 2022, to no avail; and since 1 July 2022 was a holiday I went to her office, when I got there, she told me they were about to call me, and she told me that I was rejected by the Board in India; this was so devastating, I couldn't talk for a little while , and she again suggested that I must find family/relative; whereas she`s aware that I'm out of options (due to my social problem). I then told her I'll try to call my mum's cousin who once mentioned that she, "could have tried to donate for me unfortunately she has done so many operations after her car accident". I've told Mrs Bantsi about her before, so I told her I'll go down stairs to call her again. Unfortunately, she did not oblige due to the fact that: according to her, "once in a while she sustains pains due to the operations, and her sons are the ones who look after her". Therefore, I called Mrs Bantsi to inform her of the negative news. And went home with a heavy heart. When I got home, I tried to call Dr Taolo (Superior to Mrs Bantsi), he never answered. Monday 04 July, went back to Princess Marina to see Dr Taolo because he was still not answering my calls. I then called Dr Sheikh who answered my call and went to see him, apparently he was with Mrs Bantsi when she did a zoom call to India, and was aware of the fact that they rejected me. I raised several issues with him regarding my condition and my social problem of which Mrs Bantsi is fully aware of: a) I asked him if my issue, "wouldn't be an exception in order to save my life looking at the fact I only have 4 siblings of which -The 2 older brothers and a sister; never uttered word about whether they are willing to donate for me at the time when our relatives asked them about the fact that I need a donor.... - the 3rd born is the one that tried to donate for me in 2019, and failed due to high blood pressure. Then he told me the government is in discussions to end up doing operations here in Botswana in the future and they are going to use brain-dead patients as donors, and I asked him, "how many years will that take to be finalized? And where will I be knowing very well that kidney failure is fatal? - Then I asked him if the Indian government is aware of the HIV prevalence in this country? And that maybe even my other siblings (that I mentioned above) maybe the reason they never opted is because maybe they are positive and don't want to divulge their HIV status? " - then I told him I wondered if Mrs Bantsi`s plan was to persuade me to tell the truth by mentioning the affidavit as an alternative in order to " throw me under the bus or what?" - Why did Mrs Bantsi contact the Indian government direct instead consulting her superiors like she told me? That clearly shows all along she was looking for a way to reject me... Then I left and went to address the same issues with Mrs Bantsi. Ultimately, she asked me, "What do I suggest we should do?" she was asking this question in a nonchallant manner that was not comforting at all. I told her, "the way both of you (Dr Taolo and yourself) were a bit negligent with my issue, due to the fact that in 2019 you were supposed to call my family in Maun to tell them about my illness and that I need a donor, you even suggested that since they are far you will get Dr Peter at Letsholathebe Hospital in Maun to call them that side to do counselling on your behalf"; and that never happened. That's when she asked for my family’s contact numbers once again and said she will call them and get back to me, and she never did, and I kept on calling her, sending WhatsApp messages and going to her office for a couple of weeks; she never did. Sometime in July 2022 I went to see Mrs Bantsi again and she told me they are no longer going to India for operations; they'll start doing operations here in Botswana by the end of the year 2022 hopefully with the new law they'll be able to accommodate some of us who don't have family donors. Even Dr Taolo affirmed it. I was hopeful. Eventually, to get me off her back she sent me a WhatsApp message on the 17 August 2022 saying, “I’m in training for 20 days”; She wanted me to stop bothering her I suppose. On one occasion while going to check on Mrs Bantsi: it was Monday the 11 July 2022, I called Dr Sheikh because my prescription was finished and he suggested that I come on Tuesday 12 July 2022 (that's when he`ll be having a clinic for outpatients. I came and he prescribed everything that I needed. Then when I was about to leave he asked me, "what have you decided about the situation?" And I told him that I've actually decided to cell my house and maybe approach any NGO that will be willing to top up whatever I got from the sale of the house and maybe go to Europe for transplant (where they don't need family as a donor) because, so far I have 3 friends who opted to donate for me over the years. He then suggested that I should google MEDICAL TOURISM for Europe in order to know what their laws are before I can sell property, he again suggested that I should check Istanbul in Tukey as well. - Then I asked him if there are any good hospitals that do transplant in South Africa? He said yes there are; for example the hospital that he went for training for the past 2 years is very good. He even mentioned that one of our Ministers here from Botswana did his transplant there while he (Dr Sheikh) was there, and it was successful. Therefore, I asked him, "if the Botswana Government sponsors the operations in South Africa?", and he said, "NO, only in India". Then he said he thinks the South African laws are similar to those of India (regarding family donors) but he wasn’t sure but he suggested that he will try to get some info and get back to me, still hasn’t. Therefore, at this juncture my only option was the 3 friends who knew about my situation and were willing to donate for me In November 2022 knowing that the 20 day training that Mrs Bantsi was attending has long elapsed, I decided to go check on her regarding calling my family as well as find out “how far are they with doing operations within the country? I found Dr Taolo who told me Mrs Bantsi has gone to India with other patients, my heart sank realizing that everything they told me was a lie. He even had the guts to ask me “how far are you with finding a family donor?". Ke ratile go thubega because I had explained everything regarding my family they even persuaded me to tell the truth regarding a donor friend pretending to understand my dilemma and that they'll be able to help me whereas that was not their true intensions. Then I asked him gore "Mma Bantsi o bowa leng ko India?" he told me, "2nd week of December 2022, but you shouldn't bother her because she will be busy with the patients soon after she arrives. So you should come and see her in January 2023". I was hurt beyond measure because I realised that my life to these people is not of importance (I'm disposable), As far as he is concerned my case is not as important as for othern patients. None of them (Mrs Bantsi or Dr Taolo) throwing me from pillar to post clearly shows how unprofessional they are and their behavior shows no moral/ethical turpitude whatsoever; never showed any kind of compassion or atleast to offer counselling, probably because I’m not their family it doesn’t matter what happens to me… Ever since then I tried to sell my house in order to go seek medical help elsewhere; the house can not sell either. In May 2023 I went to seek help at the Kidney and BP Specialist at Bokamoso (Dr Saleshando) he used to be my Physician in from 2011-2013 when I had chronic hypertension. Therefore, I went there to seek help regarding alternative hospital where they allow friends to donate. He agreed that he will try to get some info for me from Turkey because he has had a similar case before of a patient who didn't have a family donor and had to go to Turkey. So this is what I'm working on right now.

We are experiencing an out break of elephant in the villages of mbalambi , sekakangwe, gungwe , gambule and surrounding areas , this elephants are in large numbers and destroying fields which is a major concern to the residents of the above mentioned villages because during this ploughing season they will not yield anything due to elephants and we should bear in mind that even still in this case the compensation money is really little to sustain those farmers looking at the fact that most of them did use money ploughing and furthermore its not all the crops in which the government compensate for . having said that mostly people in this district depends on farming so if their fields are being destroyed by those elephants they will remain with nothing and hence turning them into destituts . the government should increase the compensation package and include all the crops .

I have rented my Camp site to the above mentioned Safaris which is situated in Makgadikgadi National Park. We have worked together since 11 July 2014 and the cooperation between the two parties was highly commendable. The problem started in April 2020 where they just stopped paying monthly rent, I tried to consult the area managers Ms. Mosamarea Masheto and Mr Keletso about the rent, I did not get any response from Meno a Kwena Safaris. I was working at Kalahari Canvas where i was unfairly dismissed. after the dismissal i went and presented my issue at Labor where a case was opened and the employer was found to be at fault. Labor then made an order for me to be reinstated. Employer signed the agreement but failed to comply with it because i was not given my job back. i went back to Labor where i was told that the order that was issued is a binding order which there was no way they can enforce it. i was then referred to industrial court where they also referred me to legal aid. at legal aid i was referred back to labor to get a certificate of failure to resolve dispute. when i got there, they said they cannot offer the certificate because they have already done their part, issuing the certificate will somehow mean they did not do their work. i went back to legal aid where they begged to differ with labor, and again they told me to go back to labor. i need assistance as i am now only made to go back and forth without any results.

I believe the reason why Serowe is facing this challenge is because of reduced or low supply in vegetables whereas the demand is high, so the little supplied by the local farmers fail to meet the local demand and due to pressure imposed by the market the farmers supply products or vegetables of not expected/ high standard. In addition, due to high demand and low supply the prices of these vegetables escalate (Demand-pull) which brings negative economic impacts to the consumers.

Around R250 billion was spent on renewable in South Africa over the last decade without much maintenance of their coal power fleet and massive load shedding occurs there. Smoothing the grid in SA of intermittency raises the costs of electricity to around 2.5 times the sale price for Eskom. Apart from that, the storage needed would have to be batteries as we don't have the terrain to build water storage, and battery storage facilities are volatile and prone to fires. Nuclear is a very important industry to try and build core competencies for in the Botswana economy the cohort of scientists and engineers critical to the industry have transferable skills across the economy in research and production. If ever in doubt of what ignoring ability and seniority is, look no further than the recent recommendation of Justice Goemekgabo Tebogo-Maruping as Justice of Appeal by the Judicial Service Commission. Justice Tebogo-Maruping certainly will never in his lifetime tick any box where capability, experience and efficiency are the qualifiers. I lodged my unfair dismissal case versus the BDP in late 2013. It landed on Tebogo-Maruping’s lap. After 6 years, we finally went to trial on 5th and 6th November 2019. Judgment was delivered “speedily” some 24 months later. In the Covid-19 days and you name it, o ka swa ntse o emetse judgment ya ga Kgabo. Rumour has it that Chief Justice Terence Rannowane was adamant in first getting a choice of justice consented by President Mokgweetsi Masisi. Word is, CJ did not want a Khama-Motumise debacle and so, sought the approval of ceremonial President before making the dead certain recommendation of Tebogo-Maruping. President Mokgweetsi Masisi is mistakenly labeled a tribalist. He is not. His is regionalism, opting to work with natives from the belly of the south central, his preferences being Moshupa, Kanye, Thamaga, Molepolole and Ramotswa. It is accepted that President Masisi has ceded power to Prime Minister Peter Fana Magosi. It is also common cause that after being clothed with such executive power, chronic liar Magosi moved to place BPS and DCEC under the direct supervision of the DIS, increasing a stranglehold previously limited to the subversion of the DPP and Attorney General The judiciary is the last vital state institution that has not been placed under the total control of the DIS. The battle to keep it independent will be lost if deployments to the judiciary continue to be based on whether the individuals appointed originate from the northern or southern part of the country. At this rate it may be a matter of time before the Judiciary falls to the DIS Appointing mediocrity is in full swing but this cadre type deployment to the judiciary is a not a new thing. Justice Rannowane was way down the pecking order in terms of seniority, and with no notable judgments to speak of, when appointed Chief Justice. Nothing about him stood out, except the occasional judgment where he was lambasted by the Court of Appeal for inefficiency. His appointment was informed by an imaginary north/south divide within the judiciary, and the imagined need to have someone who can tilt the scales at the judiciary in favour of the south. It therefore came as no surprise when the Chief Justice was alleged, in a room full of other judges, to have stated that he wants cases involving Fmr President Khama dealt exclusively by judges from the southern part of the country. Also shocking, but not surprising, was his recent assertion that Judge Gabanagae was the most senior High Court judge, ahead of the likes of Judge Tafa and others who were appointed many years before him. What the Chief Justice probably meant was that Judge Gabanagae was the most senior judge from the south. The pettiness of CJ Rannowane, in his latest tussle with Justice Ketlogetswe, points to one thing. Cadre deployment in the judiciary has no place in a democratic society.

I would like to propose policy review, that gov stop hiring people on PNP basis. What does permanent and pensionable mean..... Surely it means a lot of things to many people. To the employees, it gives a false sense of security. The thinking that I will always have a job.... I don’t need to worry much about upskilling and retooling myself.... the kind of thinking that assures one of a monthly check. The reality of things is that there is no job security. Permanent and Pensionable employees can have their contracts terminated anytime, even for frivolous reasons, like “irreconcilable difference” and that’s it. It robs the employer of an opportunity to easily tap on new and enhanced skills. Organisation that have p&p employees tend to have low productivity. The employees are not energized because after all is said and done they are P&P. Some time back, my employer wanted to convert contracts of all middle management-lower to P&P. I argued against it. I offered solid economics reasons, but the employees, threw a middle finger at my arguments in favor of P&P. Some genuinely had fears that when the time for contract renewal comes up, bosses demand sexual favors. That is a genuine fear. My argument was that, generally gratuities are 30 percent of salary, and the employee does not contribute to the gratuity. While pension is usually 16 to 20 percent of salary with the employee contributing some around 5 percent. Time value for money: with silly inflation rates, the value of money is easily eroded, it is usually best to invest in the time of now than hope to invest when you are tired and 60 years old. Particularly for employees in their early 30’s it means they wait up to minimum 45 years before they can enjoy a full 3 rd of their pension and wait until 50 to enjoy pension. This is very sad. Bottom line , contract payments are a win win for the both the employer and employees while PNP is not ideal for anyone. It’s a big fraud. Most don’t even live long enough to retire, that’s why we have very few elders in our population.

Constituent was injured at work by a colleague and the Palapye DHMT medical doctor wrote a report that says the client has a temporary injury though according to records, he has sustained a rib fracture. I work at Makopong Primary School in Kgalagadi South as a Teacher Aide. I have been in Kgalagadi South region on temporary contracts from 2014 until I got a permanent position in 2018 where I am currently based. My husband suffers from chronic health disorders including diabetics which has not affected his sight. I applied for a transfer to South East region on the 5th of October 2021 so that I can take care of him as he is not able to stay alone anymore. THE GOVERNMENT CONSIDER ABSORBING A CERTAIN PERCENT OF INTERNS IN PERMANENT JOBS AFTER COMPLETION AND GIVING THEM PAID MATERNITY LEAVE On top of the fact that interns only get P1300 as a salary, there is a super low probability of them getting permanent employment after their 2 years of internship ..,Now young women on the program will not be given paid maternity leave. This is oppressing youth and women ,THEREFORE I urge the government to review the whole program of internship.

There is a shortage of clean drinking water in our area of Dikabeya. The only supply of water we have is the dam, however, it is polluted since our livestock also drink from it. I suggest that the livestock theft charges should be intensified as it will reduce the number of these kinds of criminal cases.

Unavailability of water, electricity, and roads makes it difficult to maintain farm production. The application process for YDF is difficult because some aspects of the application forms are easily understood by many people. I suggest that livestock theft cases be processed at the kgotla instead of court since it takes a long time.

I request for Ipelegeng salary increment because the money we currently receive is not to cover our monthly expenses. I also request for supply of clean water in Dikabeya. I suggest that Dikabeya be provided with regular cluster patrols to help curb the issue of livestock theft.

14/09/2021 My late sister owns Kelly Todds Primary School. Before she passed on in 2018, she handed over the school to her only daughter who then asked me to be part of the school management team as I am a retired teacher. We have been working well in the school with my niece's husband being the managing director and my son was one of the teachers in the school. My son passed on in July 2021 while the managing director passed on a week later due to covid 19 complications. The school management has changed drastically and we are already losing students because even the covid 19 protocols are being violated. Citizens have lost their jobs because the managing director who was a Zimbabwean employed those from home. Some classes have since been merged due to shortage of teaching stuff. 08/12/2021 My grand mother had a ploughing field and mokgoro nearby. Both the field and mokgoro had separate certificates. When she got sick last year, her daughter who is my mother, agreed with my grandmother that they sell the field and remain with mokgoro. Everything went well with land board processes. 13/12/2021 I submitted reports several times to the housing department complaining about the poor house maintenance of the house I stay in. Fisher boards are old and falling, roofing is not intact, drains have blocked while rafters are also damaged. All these pose a health hazard to my family. I stay with children who play outside the house where dirty water is all over.

23/02/2022 I served as a security officer in a certain company in Taung for month. All was well until I received a salary of P1300 instead of P1600 in December 2021. 03/03/2022 in 2019, I got employed by Maun Technical College as lecturer 2 on temporary basis. Contract was terminated in March 2020 mainly due to Covid 19 and the health measures that were put in place. A month later, salary was deposited into my account as a double payment. I ended up using all the money getting ready for the anticipated lockdown in May 2020. On that same month, I was informed to pay back the amount of money that was deposited into my account I did not have money at the moment which resulted in a negative balance on my bank account. 07/03/2022 Christopher Mmaphiri of Phelefu ward and I have been working for sometime at Kgaba Works Company. On the 1st of December 2021, our co supervisor tested positive for Covid 19 and our supervisor denied us a chance to go for testing as we were the co supervisor's contacts. On a Friday that followed, our manager ordered us to go test. we tested positive and went on isolation from the 8th to the 18th of December 2021. On the 20th of December 2021 we received letters of contract termination when we returned for duty as the argued that they were not aware of our sick leaves following our positive Covid 19 results. Although the dismissal was not done accordingly we accepted the letter and were told that our payments would be processed within a week. We are still waiting for payment three months later. Our cattle cross to South Africa and it is not easy for us drive them back to Botswana. We have been complaining about the poor condition of the border fence but nothing has been done. We are yet to host another meeting on Sunday the 20th of March 2022 at 0800hours at Letsibogo la goo Phelefu in Dikgatlhong. 11/03/2022 My family stayed in Taung Village. After my mother passed on in January 2022, we moved to Gaborone to stay with my aunt. There is no peace at home. My uncle does not want us stay with them. Nothing has been smooth for us ever since we moved in. I ended up joining another family in Ramotswa where I initially came in to baby sit their daughter. 21/03/2022 I am a 30 year old orphan living with my 18 year old sister who is currently doing form 5 at Kagiso Senior Secondary School. My parents passed on while we were still young and we had to stay with my grandmother who also passed on in 2018. 01/06/2022 I and a few farmers rear cattle in Kweneng district, just 18 KM south of Takatokwane. We have identified a borehole that has been been there for years, unused. This borehole was used for coal surveying about 5 years ago. All those boreholes were used for research purposes in the past. They are now idle but still we are not allowed to use them as they belong to Department of Water Affairs.

We are neighbors with Choppies Superstore 1, the one which is next to Tswelelopele Brigade. There is one big rubbish bin just adjacent to our fence which is really making our surrounding very dirty. The bin is always full and rubbish scatter all over our yard. This is really posing health hazards to us as well as making it very difficult for us to keep our home clean. We talked to Choppies management to address the issue but they have not done anything as a permanent solution to the problem.

I completed Bachelor's Degree in Physical Planning and Construction at Limkokwing University on April 2018 and have been applying for different positions without and positive feedback ever since. 07/07/2022 I am a 22 year old student at Limkokwing University who has not been going to school for 6 months now because I could not register for the just ended semester. I got hit by a forklift in December 2021 while shopping at Sefalana Cash and Carry in Taung Village. After seeing the doctor, I was given sick leave which two days after my end of semester examinations started. This resulted in me missing 5 examinations.

10/08/2022 I started working as a security guard at 3006 Security Company a few months ago. While I was still serving on probation, I got sick and the doctor gave me sick leave. I went home to rest as ordered by the doctor. When I got back to report for duty, my supervisor told me that they decided to end my contract because they did not know where I had been. Mr Marumo is the Lucara mine underground manager for Karowe. He approached the office as part of the currently developing power line from Letlhakane Sub Station to the mine. The towers have been erected already and as part of the activities of the project roads and electric lines are going to be affected. 09/05/2022 I long applied for a license to permit me operate my security company which I long registered. At first I was told to wait for 7 months as my application was being processed. The 7 months elapsed and I was told that there is backlog and I should keep checking. I followed up with the ministry of security nd was told that my application is still awaiting verting with CID office. 26/04/2022 Malete Land Board allocated me a plot not far from the river bank in 2006 at Taung. The location poses a risk to my household. I later on applied for extension on the other side of the plot to move away from the river. However, while fencing my plot, I included the same area of extension. 09/05/2022 Patrick Mogapi and I have collaborated to establish and non profit making organization by the name Othusitse Foundation which is fully registered in Botswana. Its mandate is to help youth, ex convicts and abuse victims with ways of making a living through Agriculture. We have already leased land in 3 villages including Ramotswa. The land is still to be de-bushed. We are also looking at different enterprises such as layer and broiler production. we do not have capital and therefore plead with your office to assist us with support letters which can help us source funding.

I worked as a lecturer at Kweneng Bophirima Brigade and retired on the 17th of December 2021. I started as a lecturer in Tswelelopele Brigade and later got transferred to Kweneng District. At some point, all the brigades were private and we paid pension under an international institution which later on confirmed with us to move our funds to Botswana Pension Fund while government took over the brigades in 2009. My file has been with the pension office for payment processing for some months now. I followed it through phone calls many times but they keep changing. At some point I was told that my file has been sent to South Africa, the other day they said my file has been flagged as the system indicated that I once received pension and government cannot pay me twice. Kindly assist.

My complaint is that the Engineers Registration Act should establish separate Registration Boards I e., 1 Board for Professionals with Degrees, PhD and above, 2. Board for Technicians, 3 Board for Artisans and Craftman. The Act should also provide a waiver for senior officials like Director , their Assistants and Officers In Charge of Departments as they are more into Administration of the Departments than doing the actual work of Engineering for which they are trained to do.The registration fee currently is very very high at P 5000 and renewal at P 2500 every year now worsened by COVID 19 pandemic.

BDF with the worst systems as they have medicals where a lot of trainees are rejected with minor reasons given, so their selection system can also be smoothened to allow more people to work therefore reducing the level of unemployment.

Mr Thuso Moutlwatsi was working as a truck operator in Debswana before he got injured while he was carrying out his duties. At that time Debswana was shaping up for retrenchment and offered workers voluntary separation packages for those that feel they want to retire early.
